Curriculum Overviews

At Bamford, we are expanding from 1.5FE to 2FE, hence we are transitioning from a two year curriculum cycle to single year group curricula. The transition stage means teachers and subject leaders must carefully plan and adapt to ensure coverage, breadth and depth for children as they move through school, all the while ensuring challenge and new content appropriate to our specific context.

Metacognitive Strategies and vocabulary development have been key elements of curriculum design, following the national and local focus on developing children’s language and communication.
