Peacocks Out of Hours Club

Bamford Academy runs an Ofsted registered and approved out of school club - Peacocks. The club runs from 7:30 – 8:40am and 3.00pm until 6:00pm and is held in the school hall, or, if the weather is nice it is held outside on the Upper Key Stage 2 (Unit 4) playground. All places must be booked online via the Arbor app.

At Peacocks we believe a before and after school club should enhance the curriculum. Fun activities support and extend children’s learning throughout the day in the academy. Our play workers liaise with teaching staff regularly and so know your children and can help them with homework, to overcome challenges or to learn something new!  Activities include: gardening, baking, arts and crafts, model building, games, computing and film nights.

Sessions include:

Morning (7:30-8:40am): Breakfast, play and transfer to class ready for the day.

After School (3:00-6:00pm): Play activities, homework support (provided staffing can enable this), themed/seasonal craft activities, a substantial healthy snack (Provided by our catering company, Mellors, plus fruit is available throughout).

The popularity of the club means that there are only a few vacancies on certain nights.
