Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Bamford Academy, the wellbeing of every child is at the heart of our school community. We believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, valued and supported, and we are committed to helping every pupil develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to thrive.

We recognise that, just like our physical health, our mental health can change and that sometimes we all need a little extra support.

Through our curriculum, pastoral care and wider school experiences, we create opportunities for children to talk about their feelings, build positive relationships, understand themselves and others, and develop healthy attitudes towards their own wellbeing.

We want every child at Bamford to feel that they belong, that they are listened to and that they have the support they need to enjoy school, achieve their potential and grow into happy, confident and caring individuals.
